Optifleet , Renault Trucks' fleet management solution, enables hauliers to increase the profitability of their vehicles by reducing operating costs and improving customer satisfaction. To help customers be ever more productive, Renault Trucks is adding to Optifleet the new " Health " and " Safety " modules, which will help limit accidents and unplanned stoppages for trucks.
In the highly competitive trucking market, being able to manage your business in real time and control the main items of expenditure represents an undeniable competitive advantage. With the Optifleet fleet management solution , Renault Trucks facilitates the daily operations of hauliers and allows them to optimize the performance of trucks and drivers. Optifleet now comprises five modules, which can be activated independently of each other according to the needs of the carriers.
The " Check " module allows the carrier to monitor and optimize the energy consumption of its trucks - thus reducing overall CO2 emissions - and to analyze the ecological driving performance of the drivers, following their progress. With "Check" it is also possible to consult the charge level of the batteries of electric vehicles live.
The " Map " module allows you to geolocate trucks in real time and therefore optimize routes, increasing customer satisfaction with the possibility of informing them of the precise arrival time of the delivery.
The “ Drive ” module offers the possibility of monitoring the activity and rest times of the drivers. Tachograph data can be downloaded remotely to facilitate administrative operations.
Today, Renault Trucks adds two new functions to Optifleet : the "Health" and " Safety " modules:
The new " Health " module transmits the indications of the warning lights that come on on the dashboard of each vehicle, with a real-time notification on the Optifleet portal or an email alert. The fleet manager can thus plan the appropriate maintenance operations and anticipate possible truck stoppages.
New ' Safety ' module tracks events related to vehicle safety systems, such as Enhanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) . This function also detects excessive braking or acceleration. The data, transmitted in real time on the Optifleet portal , or sent by e-mail, will allow the haulier to carry out an objective analysis of driving methods. It will therefore be possible to offer targeted training to specific drivers to reduce the risk of accidents and premature wear of vehicle components.
The Optifleet Check , Map , Drive , Health and Safety modules are available on the Renault Trucks T, C and K ranges. The Check, Map and Drive modules are available on the Renault Trucks D and D Wide ranges (electric and diesel). Optifleet is compatible with trucks from other brands.
Hauliers wishing to integrate Optifleet data into their fleet management software have the ability to access real-time Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
